Daman and Diu is the state of Gujarat and the Arabian Sea border the territory. Daman and Diu were administered as part of the union territory of Goa. In 2019 legislation was passed to merge the union territory of Daman and Diu with its neighbours union territory, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. It was the smallest federal division of India on the mainland. Daman and Diu are approximately 650 kilometres away from each other by road. Gujarat was the mother toung of most of the territory’s population. Daman and Diu maked more, attractive beaches attractions. Tithal Beach – This beach is a popular destination with a lot of food stalls and horse and camel rides. The sand here is very dark and the sunset are extremely picturesque. The beach is calm and relaxing but could get quite crowded on weekends.

Jallandhar Beach – It is a great beach for swimming and is known for its peaceful and serene surrounding. This is beautiful and quite beach. Play on the soft Sands of beach. Unwind and leave behind all the stress of your work-a-day life, visiting the famous Jallandhar temple ,if so inclined .

Chakratirth Beach – This is the place where Krishna killed demon. The place is not to crowded and is much favoured for that reason though we cannot really say when it will become overcrowded too. A walk along the sand might be an enjoyable experience.

Udava Beach – This beach is known for beautiful sunset point. Udava Beach is on the south of Daman. The sands are speckled with stonesand shells and the beach is not known to be teeming with tourists. The image of sun along the horizon is wonderful.

Gomtimata Beach – It was located to the west of Diu, this beach is quite and peaceful. The tides are high making the water unsafe for swimming but the serene atmosphere of this beach is quite an attraction in itself. The white Sands are soft and inviting to keep many memories for lifetime.

When visiting Daman and Diu beaches, do find the time to do things away from the beaches too like -Daman Fort, St Jerome Fort, INS Khukri Memorial, Zampa Gateway, the lighthouse and the beautiful temple and churches of ancient heritage and magnificent architecture. The ideal time to visit Daman and Diu is between the months of October to April, specially for a beachside experience. So head to the beaches of the island of Daman and Diu for a relaxing and de-stressing holiday experience.
