Diwali 2020: Ayodhya to celebrate Deepotsav, to light a world record number of diyas

Amid ongoing court proceedings in the Ram Janmbhoomi -Babri Masjid title suit, the state government has drawn big plan for the festival which marks the return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya after 14 year of exile. Enthusiasm was palpable among the people and the volunteers at dusk, as they lit the lamps to marks the occasion. Deepotsav is the part of continuing effort being made towards protecting the sacred site and its dignity. Ram ji’s Paidi, water was dirty and people did not want to take a dip here. Today water is so fresh dip here. Today every Indians is filled with positivity under the leadership Prime minister Narendra Modi. Ayodhya is brimming with the remnants of a era. The famous epics, Ramayana and Shri Ramcharitmanas exhibit the splendours of Ayodhya. Here some places are Deepotsav will see the installation of LED light boxes in the city. Made of acrylic sheet, the boxes will illuminated the area in a brand new way. It began in 2017, the city made a world record of lighting 5.50 lakes diyas. In these days in the Ayodhya the air is filled with a cheerful cacophony of mantras, shlocks and chaupayi from Tulsi Das Ramcharitmanas. While corona virus pandemic may have forced the world famous Raasleela presented in here. This Diwali is important because after Neevpujan this is first Diwali. There will be another installation of Ram Darbar at Ram Ki Paidi on the banks of the Sarayu River. The 18 feet structure will have been carved pillar and other decor elements. On Diwali this year, the Yogi Adityanath -led Uttar Pradesh government will celebrate deep mahatasav with making a new record, where over 6 lakhs earthen lamps or diyas will be lit on 14 November, Saturday eve, the lamps or diyas will be  lit for 24hrs. The preparation are already in full swing in the state, where the government has made elaborate plans for the festival of lights. The deep mahatasav procession, a symbolic descent of Lord Rama and Seeta, as a part of festival.
